What are the shipping cost?

We offer free shipping on orders over 69 USD to the following countries: United States, Andorra, Canada, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Israel, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and Turkey (For orders below 69 USD the shipping cost is 15 USD to the above countries).

Shipping costs to all other countries are specified at the check-out.

 

How do I track the delivery?

Once we’ve shipped your order, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. Haven’t received an email? Check your junk mail folder, sometimes the email ends up there. Please contact us at hello@democraticgallery.com if you can’t find it there either.

 

I haven’t received an order confirmation

Sometime the order confirmation ends up in the junk mail folder. If you can’t find it there either, it may be because you have entered the wrong email address or because the order didn’t go through for some reason. Contact us before placing a new order (to avoid duplicate orders) at hello@democraticgallery.com and we will help you. Please include what the order contained, your name and the email address used at checkout.

 

Can I cancel or change my order?

If you would like to change or cancel your order, please contact us as fast as possible after completing your purchase. Sometimes we may not be able to help you as we strive to pack and ship orders as fast as possible, but we will try our best to help you.

How do I return?

Start by sending this return mail to us, please complete all fields in the email before you send it. Within a couple of business days you will receive an email from us with instructions, including a return label for you to print and tape on the return package. Keep in mind that the items needs to be in their original condition and the package properly packed.


Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver world wide!
For orders to a country in the EU (other than Sweden): eu.democraticgallery.com
For orders to a country outside the EU: democraticgallery.com (We do not deliver frames outside of EU, therefore you will not be able to see them in our .com shop.)
For orders to Sweden: democraticgallery.se

 

Can I order posters with customized dimensions or with my own motives?

We do not offer customized dimensions or print your own motives. Democratic Gallery’s curators are browsing Instagram to find the best photography. Read more here to find out how your photographs could become selected for publishing.

 

Why do you not offer frames outside EU countries?

At the moment we only offer frames in the EU. This is due to shipping costs. Hopefully we will be able to offer frames in your country soon. Order here if you a shipping adress in an EU country.

 

Orders

How do I know that my order is registered?

Once you’ve completed an order you will receive an order confirmation to the email address you used at checkout. Check your junk mail folder if you didn’t receive an order confirmation, sometimes the email ends up there. If you can’t find it there either contact us at hello@democraticgallery.com and we will help you.

Delivery

What are the shipping cost?

We offer free shipping for purchases over 69 USD for orders to the following countries: United States, Andorra, Canada, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Israel, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and Turkey (for purchases less than 69 USD the shipping cost is 15 USD for orders to the same countries). Shipping costs to all other countries are specified at the check-out.

 

How long does delivery take?

For our regular assortment, our aim is to deliver within 3-14 business days.

For our #GALLERYBATTLE assortment, you should receive your order within 14-28 working days depending on which country you order to.

During busy periods for us or for the transportation company it might take an extra day or two. You can always track your delivery through the tracking link you received in the shipping confirmation email.

 

How are the packages delivered?

Your packages will be sent through DHL or UPS to a pick-up point near you. All orders are packed in specially designed packages, made to keep the products safe and with the environment in focus. We use as little plastic as possible - even our tape is made of paper!


When can I collect my package and from which pick-up point?

Once we’ve shipped your order you will receive a shipping confirmation email, including which pick-up point it will be delivered to and an estimated delivery time. When your package reaches the pick-up point you will receive a notification via SMS or email.

I haven’t received a notification to pick up my package

Within 14 working days after receiving your shipping confirmation email you should have received a notification that your package is ready to pick up. If you haven’t received a notification it may be because you have entered the wrong number or email. You can always track your package through the tracking link included in the shipping confirmation email. If you have any questions please contact us. Bare in mind that the package will only remain at the pick-up point for a limited amount of days (specified in the notification you receive when the package reaches the pick-up point). If you don’t pick up your package within the date stated the package will be returned to Democratic Gallery, in which case we charge a fee of 35 USD to cover shipping and unpacking of goods.

 

What happens if I don’t pick up my package?

The package only remains at the pick-up point for a limited amount of days, specified in the notification you receive when the package reaches the pick-up point. If you don’t pick up you package within the stated date the package will be returned to us, in which case we charge a fee of 35 USD to cover shipping and unpacking of goods.

Returns and claims

What’s your return policy?

You have the right to revoke your purchase within 30 days after you or the pick-up point have received the package given that the products are returned in their original condition. We charge a return shipping cost of lowest possible shipping cost available with our shipping providers, which will be deducted when we refund you.

The products should be returned in their original condition, be well packaged in the original packaging (or equivalent packaging in the case you no longer have the original packaging). In case of sealed products, you don’t have the right to return in case you break the seal. For example, our frames are sealed with plastic.

Can I exchange products?

We don’t exchange products, instead we recommend you do a return and make another order.

 

Damaged on delivery

Our supply chain is optimised for the products security. Should a product still get damaged along the way, please contact us as soon as possible. Start by sending this email to us, please complete all fields in the email before you send it.

 

Refund

We will refund you as soon as possible after receiving and approving the return, at the latest within 14 days. The refund will be made to the account that is linked to the card you used for payment.

 

Offers

Democratic Gallery may offer promotions on our website or through other channels such as email or SMS. Promotions apply for a limited time and as long as the stock last. You can unsubscribe by clicking at the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we’ve sent you.

 

Our products

What paper do you use?

Extraordinary photographs require extraordinary paper. We print on 170g Munken Polar, a Swedish paper, and 180g Scandraft, a German paper, depending on the print. Its smooth surface with crisp white shade gives an exclusive, yet natural feel. The paper is age-resistant. We focus on quality and sustainability throughout our business. Our papers are eco-labeled with FSC (responsible forestry). 

Why aren’t all photographers available in all sizes?

After curation we thoroughly examine each high resolution photograph provided by the photographer, both technically and visually. The photographs are available in one of three proportions: 1:1, 2:3 or 3:4. If a photograph isn’t available in a certain size, it is either because it did not meet the technical requirements for that size or that we just made artistic choice. What is #GALLERYBATTLE?

We run monthly Gallery Battles with selected profiles who host a battle between two artists. Once the winner has been selected their art will be available to purchase for a limited time of 35 days in our gallery - Limited Time Art.
