When you buy this art you empower KD Bathie. Our worldwide community of art lovers have voted for this print to be hung here. At Democratic Gallery the people rule. Not an elite. After all, history has proven that democracy is the best way of running the world. Why should the art world be any different?
Meet KD Bathie
Why do you love photography?
I am a painter with no time to paint. So I have assumed a digital art approach to digital photography. I am constantly looking and wish I could explain why I love photography: I love light and what it does and can do. Digital photography gives you command over these elements and you can play with them endlessly.
”I love light and what it does and can do. Digital photography gives you command over these elements and you can play with them endlessly.”
What does your creative process usually look like?
I do my work wherever I am with whatever I have to hand. I am always adding to a huge library of images which I turn into collages. The images come from everywhere from corners of scrapyards to palaces.
This photograph is part of a series the photographer KD Bathie captured of dead fish. ”Dead fish are a beautiful warning and so numerous that the individual is insignificant. We cannot share their lives and we are destroying their environment.” We print on matt paper to create a tactile, low key look and feel.
